Friends
of El Salvador is a non-profit, volunteer program to assist the poorest
residents of El Salvador. We do this by helping families and communities
to help themselves, by giving them the tools, information and initial
assistance.
El Salvador has been racked by over 20 years of civil war, and our help
is making a huge difference in the lives of children and families.

- help
young people attend high school who would otherwise be unable to.
- build
or replace churches in villages.
- set
up a fishing co-operative for a group of fishermen, giving them the
tools and skills to provide for their families
- set
up a co-operative for women to make school uniforms and other clothing,
allowing them to support their children
- distribute
food to those most in need
- assist
in replacing some of the worst of the inadequate housing
